Lady Gaga – Marry The Night
Posted by admin on Dec.05, 2011, under Music Reviews Comments Off

In the unofficial war between the four most popular pop stars today – Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, there is no doubt that Gaga leaves dust behind her in everything that related to the level of daring, madness and originality in video clips. Her last clip Marry The Night is a sort of mini-casting film that has in it Gaga’s memories from the past in a combination of a dream and nightmare, imagination and reality.
Lady Gaga herself directed that clip, which is divided into four main scenes and pumps inspiration from sources such as the TV show Fame and the movie Black Swan, but especially from her dreams and nightmares world.
At the beginning of the clip Lady Gaga’s seen transports on a hospital stretcher, after a surgery on her back (we can see her scars on the back later in the clip), while she’s telling how she wants her memories start all over again. She lays on the bad, sheds a tear and telling the nurse (who wears Calvin Klein!): “I’m gonna be a star because, I have nothing to loose”.
Taio Cruz feat. Flo Rida – Hangover
Posted by admin on Nov.10, 2011, under Music Reviews Comments Off

Taio Cruz is glad to announce on his great single together with Flo Rida from his upcoming third album, ‘TY.O’, and there aren’t currently details about it. Along with familiar sounds and a little extra unnecessary rap, we are glad to inform on Taio’s choice for the first single.
The track was produced by none other than Dr. Luke, who sells more productions as impressive as ‘We R Who We R’ of Kesha, ‘Hold It Against Me’ of Britney and of course ‘Last Friday Night’ of Katy Perry – but everyone has his lapse. ‘Hangover’ is definitely a fun track, and who does not like the party songs that are not talking about more than alcohol and rhythm?
With a desire to dance and a little desire to hear the track, Taio Cruz and Flo Rida are certainly getting boring.
‘TY.O’ is currently in a very sensitive place for us, Both in anticipation of some more serious material and hoping for minority in alcohol songs.
James Morrison – Up ft. Jessie J

Finally the clip to James Morrison’s second single from his last album is released. What makes the single to such an excellent song? If it’s the remarkable cooperation with Jessie J or if it’s a direct return to the “Broken Strings” times with Nelly Furtado, the admiration for him grows and also the hunger for other materials.
“Up” is such a delicate and yet so profound ballad- the lyric manage to obscure the fact that Morrison is all in all a young artist who each time manage to surprise and exceed expectations.
“Up” is a soft ballad, a little dreamy and romantic and not like anything that Jessie J had done before. Even as the peep clip released a week ago we knew what is the general idea – growing tension between the two and end up crashing. It’s not the dramatic climax (or original), but it definitely works.
When Morrison goes down the staircase in the building while the pictures scattered on the stairs, while Jessie is sitting inside, we know that it is something serious. The clip shows a more muted side of Jessie, a more introverted which was not used yet but, surprisingly, we accept. True that rhythmic and pleasant substances can be nice, but you can certainly take the British singer’s vocal to higher places, a highlight which can open our mouth and keep it open. And what about Morrison? Talented than ever. As each clip along the career of the singer (who manages to get importance in era of electronic music), this time he does so with classic touches of the old school of the ballad tunes.
Britney Spears – Criminal

Straightly from the last pop diva’s album “Femme Fatale”, is none other than “Criminal”, which won temperamental comments that feared to it’s success comparing to Britney’s last singles. There are lots of opinions on the Britney’s issue and the willingness of selecting singles, but when it comes to the clips- you can not describe it in other words than “wow”.
If it’s a sarcastic sense of humor or if that story is narrated in such an elegant way, this time we definitely can say that sensations washed over us when we watched the clip. It’s true that the feeling was that we are in not so very good drama (maybe because the ‘not so hidden’ advertisements to her perfumes), but you can still understand the willingness of the election of a single, maybe all it needed was a funny and fresh clip to convey the sense of melody particularly unsuccessful.
Surprisingly, Britney falls in love with a guy who defended her when her ex- boyfriend decided to beat her up. Directly to his house and intimate scenes that bring the sense of “Toxic” a little, slowly reveal sexy sides that were observed before but are expressed in the current clip.
While the robotic melody and the redundant electronic sampling, it’s possible to find the attraction to the single. Probably because of the clip manages to entertain a little but at the same time to tire as expected where everything happens.

Beyonce – Love On Top

Beyonce releases her new clip to her single Love On Top which is taken from her last album 4.
The star who’s already in the fifth month of her pregnancy, and expected to give birth in February, dances in the clip in a big round room with huge windows, but without any decor, with 5 male dancers. Beyonce changes a few clothes during the clip, especially when the clip goes from day to night. Her military hat is prominent in the clip – a kind of a Admiral’s hat, maybe sort of a late gesture for Michel Jackson, that Beyonce’s dance steps influenced by his.
In interviews Beyonce says that she wanted the clip to be in an old-school style: “I worked very hard on this clip. This song is very special to me and that’s why I based it on some guy bands from the past that I loved” she says. “I remember myself watching videos of New Addition, The Jackson 5 and The Temptations – some bands I loved because of the harmony of their beautiful sounds and their special dance moves. I always wanted to be in a boy band and I made it thanks for the clip. It was very fun.”

Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull – the two hit creators do not stop for a moment especially in that year. their new common song is called: “I Like How It Feels”.

Between the ballads to Enrique’s dizzying mixes, their new song “I Like How It Feels” is not one of those songs. The Spanish singer releases the new bomb, featuring Pitbull.
The song will be shown in Enrique’s new album which will be sold as a special edition: “Euphoria” that is supposed to be out in November.
We just love the way the new song sounds! very fresh and even summery. We were a little bit disappointed because of 2 things: mainly because the song repeats it self a lot, and in additional, Pitbull part starts only in- 2:31, we didn’t understand why so late? He’s actually closing the song and not really participates in it.
Anyways you can tell that song would be a hit! Much fun in one song!
